WiCHMANN group was founded in 1980 by Horst Wichmann (Managing Director). Being an independent family business, they developed from a small repair company into an industrial company representing the latest technology.

Brands of the WiCHMANN Group

In 2010 the WiCHMANN group introduced a new corporate design emphasising a refined presentation appropriate to the market. They are active in various markets and position their business with their umbrella brand WiCHMANN, which represents the entire corporate group. In addition to this, there are three further sub-brands:

  • CSE - Cardan Service Engineering stands for cardan shafts in the OEM segment, in which the services of their engineers are indispensable. In the development, construction, design and calculation of cardan shafts, they cater to the individual, technical as well as innovative needs of their clients.
  • CSN - Cardan Service Network stands for the cardan shaft replacement business, with which they cater to the aftermarket via their renowned network. They maintain their position in the industrial and commercial vehicle replacement business with unbeatable service and fast delivery times. Working together with their franchise partners in Germany and abroad, customer will always receive the same first-class service and the high quality customer is accustomed to.
  • CST - Components Service & Trading stands for the supply of spare parts for their cardan shafts worldwide as well as the marketing of commercial vehicle technology.

WiCHMANN - Milestones

  • 1980: Foundation of the WiCHMANN GmbH.
  • 1985: Remanufacturing of Cardan shafts.
  • 1990: Regional market leader in the field of remanufactured Cardan shafts for commercial vehicles.
  • 1994: Marketing of industrial Cardan shafts in the OEM and spare parts business; export to over 40 countries.
  • 1998: 3 hour service for commercial vehicles.
  • 2000: Establishment of the CSN Franchise System; change of corporate name to CSN WiCHMANN GmbH.
  • 2003: Market launch of maintenance-free WiCHMANN Premium Cardan shafts.
  • 2004: WiCHMANN support points dealer system for commercial vehicle Cardan shafts.
  • 2005: Industrial Cardan shafts in size XXL. Development of the Customer Care Center (CCC) at the Osnabrueck headquarters.
  • 2007: Doubling of production capacity in the field of XXL Cardan shafts.
  • 2011: Introduction of the new corporate design, change of corporate name to WiCHMANN GmbH, renaming of sales team to Customer Care Center, opening of the remanufacturing center at the Essen site.
  • 2012: New construction of an administration building at Dieselstraße 6.
  • 2013: Building extension and renovation of the premises at Dieselstraße 5-7 into a sole production and logistics site.
